The Wizard of Oz isn't who he appears to be! Readers practice analyzing a character in a work of fiction as they read a passage from L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. They will then answer four questions about the Wizard, about other characters' reactions to him, and about their own reaction as readers as well. Designed for fourth graders, this reading comprehension worksheet supports students as they learn to use context clues to understand increasingly complex characters in works of fiction.
