Some of the numbers are missing in the snail fact families. Kids add, subtract, or use math facts they have committed to memory to fill in the missing numbers. In completing this worksheet, kids show that they understand the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction (for example, an opposite number sentence for 5 + 7 = 12 is 12 − 7 = 5).
