Before there were smartphones, map grids were used to help people travel from one place to another. Use this social studies worksheet to introduce the map grid to your fourth graders. Students will be given location grid coordinates to use to identify the different islands of Hawaii. When they finish this geography activity, students will have a better understanding of how helpful maps can be.
