In this "main idea of a story" worksheet, students will practice identifying the main topic in nonfiction texts. This is an important step on the road to mastering both nonfiction comprehension and fiction comprehension. Students will read two short passages and choose what they think is the main idea of the paragraph. The text is written especially for students reading at a second-grade level.
